September Monthly Meeting – Members’ Astrophotography Competition

Our meetings include brief business, a main presentation and items of astronomical news or learning from members. The September monthly meeting will be the Members’ Astrophotography Competition, hosted by the Astrophotography Section Director Chris Ryan.

The meeting will display the amazing efforts of our members in producing astronomically-themed images.  The range includes pictures taken with simple equipment, including smartphones, to ones using sophisticated telescopes and cameras.  Our intent is to provide a showcase for members images. Members submitted images by a deadline in August. Online voting will have been conducted by members before the meeting day, and results announced at the meeting after all the images are shown by category. Join us and celebrate their efforts!

The September 2024 meeting is planned to be a face-to-face meeting; attendees can also join in online via Zoom. Details emailed to members. Guests/visitors can contact us for Zoom details at .
