Synopsis of the Main Item talk: The University of Southern Queensland is where astronomy and space come together. We operate Mt Kent Observatory to support projects in astronomical and space research, and the site hosts a follow-up facility for NASA’s TESS exoplanet survey space mission. Our research covers across a range of areas including observational astronomy, stellar astrophysics, planetary science, space science, and now extragalactic studies.
