Members' Descriptions

A.Dutton: (observed on 28 July 2000 through a 200mm f/10 Schmidt Cassegrain at 80x magnification with Class 1 seeing conditions) A wonderful, large, bright globular cluster elliptical in shape with a very bright central region. The brightness drops rapidly towards the margins where there are noticeable lines and arcs of stars. Numerous stars are resolved throughout the cluster.
