Lunar & Planetary Observing

The lunar and planetary field nights are held at a variety of locations in and around Brisbane. The aim of these field nights is to observe the fascinating objects within the solar system. A list of the proposed lunar and planetary field nights for the current year is provided below. For further information of these field nights please contact the Solar System Section Director.

From 04:00 on the 11th of June 2009, we will be broadcasting the Japanese lunar orbiter Kaguya (originally called Selene) ending its two years of science with a final impact experimenton the moon. What will we see? Knowbody knows!·Update: We know now - Nothing!
